Michigan State Housing Development Authority Emergency Solutions Grant Program 2021-2022 (MSHDA ESG)
On June 16th, 2021, the Michigan State Housing Development Authority(MSHDA) released the Notice of Funding Availability(NOFA) for the state administered Emergency Solution Grant Program (ESG). The ESG program funds street outreach, emergency shelter operation, services for emergency shelter residents, rapid re-housing programs, and homeless prevention programs run by private nonprofits and government agencies. The MSHDA ESG NOFA sets forth the process and requirements for applying for ESG funds.
Michigan State Housing Development Authority Emergency Housing Vouchers (June 2021)
In June, 2021, the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) allocated 23 Emergency Housing Vouchers (EHVs) to the 10 county region of the NWCEH. On June 2nd, 2021 the Steering Committee of the NWCEH met to determine the service providers and prioritization plan for the 23 vouchers. Click on the links below to learn more.

Michigan State Housing Development Authority Emergency Solutions Grant Program CV (ESG-CV Round 1 and Round 2)
On November 19th, 2020, the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) released the Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for the state administered Emergency Solutions Grant Program Care Act Round 2 (ESG-CV 2). Specific updates for the second round of MSHDA’s ESG-CV funding are detailed in the addendum below.

United States Department of Housing and Urban Development Continuum of Care Program (HUD COC Program)
The Continuum of Care (CoC) Program is designed to promote communitywide commitment to the goal of ending homelessness; provide funding for efforts by nonprofit providers, and State and local governments to quickly rehouse homeless individuals and families while minimizing the trauma and dislocation caused to homeless individuals, families, and communities by homelessness; promote access to and effect utilization of mainstream programs by homeless individuals and families; and optimize self-sufficiency among individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
