The work to end homelessness requires dedicated volunteers to help us make homelessness rare, brief and one-time across NW Michigan. One of the areas of the homeless response system with the greatest need for volunteers is at emergency shelters. Find out more about volunteer opportunities below.
Volunteer at an Emergency Shelter or Day Service
Emergency shelters are critical to an effective homeless response system. While people experiencing homelessness wait to secure permanent housing, emergency shelters offer a safe place to stay.
